12 Questions of MA

The following questions may help you determine whether marijuana is a problem in your life:
  1. Has smoking pot stopped being fun?
  2. Do you ever get high alone?
  3. Is it hard for you to imagine a life without marijuana?
  4. Do you find that your friends are determined by your marijuana use?
  5. Do you smoke marijuana to avoid dealing with your problems?
  6. Do you smoke pot to cope with your feelings?
  7. Does your marijuana use let you live in a privately defined world?
  8. Have you ever failed to keep promises you made about cutting down or controlling your dope smoking?
  9. Has your use of marijuana caused problems with memory, concentration, or motivation?
  10. When your stash is nearly empty, do you feel anxious or worried about how to get more?
  11. Do you plan your life around your marijuana use?
  12. Have friends or relatives ever complained that your pot smoking is damaging your relationship with them?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, you may have a problem with pot.

  • Join MA District 12 (North Bay) for a Potless Pot Luck at Cotati Lions Club Sunday 12/6 at 4:00. 86 La Plaza, Cotati. MA meeting follows at 6:30.
  • We need a public address (PA) system for the 2016 MA Convention in February. If you have one that you're willing to lend, let us know.
  • Got talent? Sign up and prepare your act for the Friday Night Talent Show at the 2016 MA Convention. Contact Mark D.
  • Monthly District Service Committee (DSC) and convention planning meetings now meet at First Congregational Church, 2501 Harrison St. Oakland. For December and January, convention planning meeting at 5pm; DSC meeting starts at 6:30pm. View on map.
  • Friday 7:30 PM meeting now meets at Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building, Redwood Room, 3rd floor, 1425 South Main Street, Walnut Creek.

  • Volunteer for the 2016 MA Convention! Sign up at a meeting or send an email to volunteer@madistrict2.org.
  • Wednesday Night Monthly 'Potless' Potluck - last Wednesday of the month, after 6:15 meeting until 9pm. Bring a dish and enjoy the food & fellowship.
  • MAWS is looking for volunteers to staff the MAWS hotline. If you're interested, contact Elizabeth or MAWS.
  • Support MA meetings: Sunday, Monday, and Saturday meetings need support from people willing to do service. District 13 (MA Online) needs support from folks with clean time.
